Origin: Arabic, Italian, Japanese

Meaning: This name has several possible meanings and origins. It could be a variant of Ayda, meaning “returning, visitor” ( عائدة ) or an Italian name meaning “happy”. It’s also a Japanese surname with the possible meaning of “run across the fields”- though I could be wrong on that one. But it definitely is a Japanese surname

Aida is pronounced as ah-EE-da, with three syllables in the Arabic language, though spelled Ayda  it’s only two syllables.
