Origin: English

Meaning: a surname derived from a Middle English phrase atten ash or atte nash meaning “at the ash tree”.

Nash is mentioned once in Book 7 (The Vile Village) in conjection with Ogden Nash, an American poet in the real world; the only other N name I could find was Nero, which I’ve already profiled.
